Co-Constructive Tool

Reflection on constructive tool

"Technology should improve your life.... not become your life"
- Billy Cox

Co-constructive tool can be understood as a tool that can be used to construct knowledge collaboratively. One example of the co-constructive tool is the use of google docs, google slides etc... The advantage is that even after posting, the students can also co-edit the same document from anywhere, identify and develop expertise, active and intentional learning, enhance collaborative learning, and most importantly communicate on any issues with peers and tutors. By integrating Co-constructive tool in schools, students and teachers can use the tools to construct shared understanding of new knowledge. The difference that co-constructive tool has from constructive tool is that in co-constructive, the users develop their understanding collaboratively unlike constructive tool where the users work independently to construct personal knowledge.

A co-construction tool is an approach, where it is an emphasis on collaboration, and partnership working. It also includes the interactional process such as cooperation and coordination. Co-construction is the concept that students can use to help them learn from others and expand their knowledge. Applications that support the construction of knowledge through a shared understanding, share ideas and thought collaborative and reconstruction of the knowledge sharing additional knowledge ideas from different user.

Through co-construction, the students will be able to explore and share their views in term of learning. They can be able to build a relationship between society to have effective communication and learning. The co-construction is important for developing creative partnerships within the classroom as well as societies. Students can use constructive tools to work cooperatively and construct a shared understanding of new knowledge. one way of co-constructive is that use of the electronic whiteboard where students may post notices to shared documents/whiteboard. students may also co-edit the same document from their homes.
